Where form meets function

In addition to finding a celebrity doppelgänger, a recent meme proved that many of us were just as interested in finding our twin from the world of classical art. Now, thanks to a new feature on the “Google Arts & Culture” app, you can find your museum-match without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home.

The “Arts & Culture” app has long allowed users to browse works of art from over 1,000 museums around the world, but the additional dimension of facial recognition is a whole other ballgame. By taking a selfie in-app (uploads of previous photos won’t be accepted), it culls from their massive database to find a portrait subject who best matches your own visage.

Unfortunately, the selfie option is currently only available in certain regions, but let’s hope Google expand the update worldwide soon.

Download the free app here and start searching for your artistic doppelgänger.

In other tech news, Facebook’s news feed is about to undergo a dramatic change. Get the scoop on that here.
