After a seven year absence, Gorillaz returned last year with their fifth studio album Humanz. Now, it seems they’ll be back sooner than usual with new music. In March, Damon Albarn told concert attendees in Chile that an album was coming soon. Then, at this past weekend’s All Points East festival in London they teased something new, with mysterious posters leading to a website that plays music – thenownow.tv.

As Consequence of Sound reports, Gorillaz will release a new album called The Now Now on June 29, , confirmed by Emma de Caunes, wife of co-founder Jamie Hewlett, via her Instagram story. There aren’t any more details about the project at the moment, but Snoop Dogg is apparently set to feature on the new album on a song called “Hollywood”, which the band premiered in Chile.
