Last night, the music industry's brightest stars converged at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 58th annual Grammy Awards.
While hip-hop heads were hotly anticipating categories like "Best Rap Album" and "Best Rap Performance," which included nods to Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West, others were holding their breath to find out who would take home awards in the "Best New Artist" and "Best Dance Record" divisions.

Justin Bieber & Jack Ü Perform “Love Yourself” & “Where Are U Now”
Opening a two-part performance, Justin Bieber took the Grammy stage solo to play out "Love Yourself" from his recent album Purpose. Skrillex and Diplo then laid down live instrumentation - Skrillex on guitar and the Mad Decent general on the keys - while Bieber took the mic for a live performance of "Where Are U Now."
Kendrick Lamar Wins "Best Rap Album," Performs Three Live Renditions
Ahead of the 28th Grammy Awards, the hip-hop community was buzzing about Kendrick's 11 nominations across nine categories. On the big night, Lamar secured the Grammy for "Best Rap Album" and took the stage to share compelling renditions of "Blacker the Berry" and "Alright" from To Pimp a Butterfly, as well as a new cut that is being referred to as "Untitled 3."

Taylor Swift Opens the Grammys, Responds to Kanye West’s “Famous” Lyrics
For a short while, Swift and West were getting along amicably enough, however, these frenemies were set back on uncertain terms when Kanye spit "“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous.” It wouldn't be a huge stretch to interpret Swift's response as a retort to Kanye's verse, as the young songstress stated "...there will be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame."
