Sure he just released his ninth studio album a month ago, but that does not mean Gucci Mane is taking a break anytime soon. The rapper has taken little to no time to rest on the critical laurels of Everybody Looking and has gone right back to what he does best: churning out banger after banger with a carousel of collaborators. And Gucci has just delivered the latest offering in this ongoing series with “Last Time,” a lurching ode to drugs featuring Travis Scott.

Much like his recent music video for “Robbed” which explored his criminal past, “Last Time” is a surprisingly nostalgic piece of music from Gucci. It is a fond look back at some of his former drug usage, and told over a rich production courtesy of Zaytoven. And if the message of the song is lost anyone, Travis Scott is on hand to remind you in a syrupy autotune that “last time I took drugs, I just took half of it.”

As Gucci continues to transform into a non-stop hit-making machine, Travis Scott is falling into a Frank Ocean-like hole of endless album delays. Even after publicizing a massive album launch blowout in LA last month, his forthcoming record Birds in the Trap Sing McNight has yet to materialize. Get him out of your studio Gucci, the man has work to do.

Stay tuned for the imminent release of Travis Scott's new album. Meanwhile, Gucci's stellar Everybody Looking is available now.

In other music news, frequent Drake-collaborator Sampha has just dropped a new single titled "Blood on Me" and has announced the launch date for his debut album.
