In case you were unaware, the first annual World Trick Shot Day took place yesterday on December 6 (the first Tuesday in December). To kick off the celebration, the Harlem Globetrotters sent one of their most entertaining athletes to San Antonio to attempt a pretty insane trick shot.
Buckets Blake in turn made his way up to the top of the Tower of the Americas — 58 stories up, to be exact — where he then harnessed himself in for his feat. Upon stepping out onto the roof, Buckets then lofted a basketball down below in attempts to make it in the goal that was positioned on the ground. In short, the Harlem Globetrotter nailed an incredible 583-foot (and 8 inches) shot with ease. He did use the backboard, though, but we'll give him a pass since it was the first-ever World Trick Shot Day.
