Chicago-based artist, Hebru Brantley, has expanded his craft into creating vinyl toys, and as ever, his latest work tackles tough subjects in an easily digestible form.
Depicting two characters used throughout his work: the Fly Boy and Lil Momma, a yellow-goggled boy and girl, who pay homage to World War II’s Tuskegee Airmen. According to Brantley, Fly Boy and Lil Momma speak to a common element embedded in all of us, one that gives us license to be different, to examine who we are, and to dream about how we might one day change our environments for the better.
Set to release on April 8, Bentley's toys will be available from his online store.
