Known for asymmetric designs and futuristic pieces, HELIOT EMIL’s recent FW18 collection is one of our favorites yet — made up of dope thermo-reactive pieces sure to turn heads all season.
Under the creative direction of Danish brothers Victor and Julius Juul, the brand recently launched its expansion into womenswear; hitherto uncharted territory for HELIOT EMIL. Unveiled at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS19, the line included tactical pieces and accessories using the same thermo-reactive fabrics used on this jacket and pants set.
Also seen used by the likes of Stone Island this season, this thermo-reactive jacket and matching pants use a technology that changes color according to the weather, while also boasting fashion-forward features in their own right such as removable sleeves, PVC patches, and detachable elements.
“This Thermo Tech jacket is one of my favorite pieces from the brand to date,” says Highsnobiety curator Rhianna Matthews. “It’s so beautifully crafted — the structure, fit and detail is just crazy, and I love how the jacket can easily turn into a vest.”
