Model: Hurricane XTL 2 Alp
Key Features: The sandal comes in multiple colorways and combines the Alp’s upper crossover straps with a rugged sole lifted from Teva’s Hurricane sandal. A slide adjustable forefoot webbing system and a quick release buckle on the instep added a utilitarian flair to the sandal. The entire upper is constructed using the same material as Herschel’s signature backpacks.
Release Date: February 20
Price: $120 for men’s and women’s sizing and $75 for children.
Editor’s Notes: Teva, the brand best known for its sport sandal, has paired with Vancouver-based Herschel Supply Co. on a set of collaborative Hurricane XLT2 Alp sandals.
As the name suggests, the collaboration sees the Alp and the Hurricane sandals combined to create a hybrid of sorts. The sole from the Hurricane is married to the upper crossover straps from the Alp, while materials normally seen on Herschel’s signature backpacks are used on the upper.
In addition to the aforementioned features, the sandals utilize Teva’s Durabrasion Rubber outsole, a lightweight EVA-foam midsole, and quick-dry microfiber footbed.
Available in navy with red and grey with orange for men and rose with grey for women — the Herschel x Teva Hurricane XTL 2 Alp will be available February 20 at the above-listed retailers for $120 ($75 for kids).
