Japanese brands TRUCK Furniture and hobo previously collaborated in 2014, based solely on the fact that the former company’s designer had a real fondness for one of the latter brand’s bags, resulting in a wholly original piece that melded the two brand's aesthetics seamlessly. Now hobo’s designer is returning the favor. After finding inspiration in a TRUCK chair, the brands have come together for a line of items geared toward camping in the great outdoors.
The collection is titled the “Takibi Bar Series,” so named for the Japanese word for ‘campfire.’ It is comprised of eight separate pieces that are essentials for a trip to the camping grounds, such as a chair, all-purpose bags, cooking pots and even a flask. See the video below for an in-depth look at how the collection was brought to life.
hobo x TRUCK’s “Takibi Bar Series” is on sale now in select retailers and via TRUCK online.
An interesting accessory to take on your camping trip would be this firewood, though it does cost $1,000.
