Archiplan Studio have transformed an old country barn into an absolutely beautiful countryside home in Italy. The barn was partially damaged by an earthquake, although the overall structure of the building remained intact. The architects looked to in turn redefine the interior components as well as to develop a unique external opening system.

The main facade of the residence boasts minimal openings, solely for the front door and two small windows. The rear facade then overlooks the magnificent countryside, as it fully opens to provide with expansive views of the neighboring landscape.

While the exterior of the home still highlights the presence of a disused barn building, the interior has been wonderfully transformed to feature a more modern look.
