As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, Instagram has launched the #HereForYou campaign to highlight and support people sharing mental health stories on the app.

In the above video, released to launch the campaign, three Instagrammers share their own struggles with mental health and how discussing their issues helped them cope. “Through Instagram, I was able to connect with other girls who were going through similar things,” says Elyse Fox, founder of @sadgirlsclubpbg, “my main thing is to bring girls together and let girls know they aren’t alone.”

This isn't the first time that Instagram has dealt directly with mental health issues. Last October the app launched a feature that lets users anonymously report someone they think is in crisis. Instagram then reaches out to that user with a list of support systems in their country. This function is also triggered when users visit hashtags associated with issues such as self harm, suicide or eating disorders.

As part of the initiative, Instagram has launched a website where you access mental health resources in your area. Alongside the main hashtag, #HereForYou, Instagram also hope to highlight other positive hashtags including #ItsOkayToTalk, #MentalHealthMatters, #RecoveryIsPossible, #SadGirlsClub, #EndTheStigma, #SelfLoveClub and #EDWarrior.
