Portrait mode could soon be coming to Instagram Stories, at least according to some hidden code in the app.

First unearthed by tech leaker Ishan Agarwal and shared with TechCrunch, Agarwal found a Portrait shutter icon in the app’s Android Application Package (APK).

Portrait mode, which produces bokeh-style blurred backgrounds when shooting a portrait, has recently become a selling point for newer phone models.

Instagram has yet to make an official statement on the code, so it’s still unclear whether the company plans to fully roll out Portrait Mode. But if the app does to go ahead with this update, those with less up-to-date models will be able to take advantage of Portrait Mode for the first time, without upgrading their phones.
