Brazilian design studio Jahara unveils its latest full collection, titled "Conterrâneos." Translated as "Countrymen," the assortment sees everyday objects, made from rustic clay materials, take stacked totem form. Opal glass also appears in a few pieces, beautifully contrasting the warmth of the terracotta. Two lamps, a candle stick holder, a tiered fruit tray and a planter make up the series, which aims to "illustrate the natural value of simplicity." This decidedly raw style is new for designer Brunno Jahara, whose past work has centered around materials such as industrial tin and aluminium for the Batucada collection, and traditional porcelain for the Transatlantica range.
