Korean designer Jay Sae Jung Oh has expanded her "Savage Series" to include a range of black-edition pieces. Two offerings, a side table and a sofa, discarded as mass-manufactured items, were wrapped in individual threads of cowhide leather; recycled plastics were attached to each piece to stimulate the idea of how waste can have transformative properties.

The black editions of Jay Sae Jung Oh's "Savage Series" will be on display at the Johnson Trading Gallery in New York from May 4-8.
