Having been nominated for four Oscars, including Best Director and Best Picture, writer and director Jordan Peele revealed that a Get Out sequel could be on the way. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the director remarked he would "seriously consider" a follow-up film.

Released to rave reviews, Get Out was critically praised for its depictions of race-relations in the United States, in addition to challenging pre-conceived expectations of the horror and thriller genres. While many were confused at the film's submission to the Golden Globes as a comedy, what remains is Peele's open and humorous approach to a project that deals with serious societal issues.

“I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends,” said Peele, fueling talk of a potential follow-up.
