After the announcement of the collab earlier this year, the J.W.Anderson x Uniqlo collection has finally arrived. Moving away from more experimental pieces that the brand has come to be known for, head designer Jonathan Anderson took inspiration from his upbringing bringing in elements of Northern Irish and British heritage – including Fair Isle, cable knits, highland tartans and rugby stripes – with his brother and father professional players.

Speaking to Vogue about the launch, Anderson explained why he wanted to work with the retailer in the first place: "Uniqlo is something I wear daily, so it was personal to me and I became very excited.”

He continued, “for me, the point of doing this collaboration was that I believe in democracy in fashion, and what I hope will be achieved is that any age demographic can pick up and find something within the collection to relate to. Doing something with Uniqlo is very interesting. It’s a different exercise than with JW Anderson, because we have a wholesale network whereas Uniqlo is a retail network. It means you come up with a wardrobe which is universal and quirky.”

The full collection will go on sale at Uniqlo stores September 21, with items priced between $30 and $150. In the meantime, take a look at every single piece in the offering above.

In other fashion news, this 19-year-old designer is getting love from Virgil and showing at NYFW.
