Developed by an arm of West’s YEEZY brand and dubbed YEEZY Home, the housing project aims to bridge the gap between social and income classes, creating affordable homes that West hopes will better the world.
The buildings look pretty incredible: 50-foot prefabricated dome-like structures evoking the Star Wars vibe that reportedly inspired the design.
According to TMZ, construction has been happening for a few weeks now, all taking place on the 300-acre lot West bought in Calabasas some years back. Take a look at the wooden, sci-fi-looking homes under construction below.
As you can see, development is still in the early stages. According to quotes obtained by TMZ, West and his team have been studying various manmade dwellings throughout history and the development is said to have an “otherworldly” feel.
