Arnault Castel, founder of Hong Kong retailer Kapok, has decided to combine two old stores into one new flagship.
Inspired by collages, the new 1,500-square-foot store combines two distinct characters in one symmetrical area: chromatized steel for fashion, and plywood for lifestyle. The polished concrete floor’s marbled effect complements both finishes, while a cement staircase takes VIPs to an intimate multi-function area. Castel also plans to host pop-ups there in the future.
The new Kapok flagship is home to iconic brands, including Maison Kitsuné, Common Projects, Astier de Villatte, Mad et Len, Native Union, and many more. Brands new to Hong Kong are also on display, such as Kowtow, Amrose, Rowing Blazers, Documents, and Archive 18-20.
