Meet Katelyn Ahn, our latest subject for our ongoing Meet the Muse series. Katelyn is not your average college student. While she juggles academic life at USC and modeling, she is also making herself known in LA’s fashion scene. Her personal style and knowledge on some of the industry’s dopest brands is evident in her wardrobe and you can see her rocking everything from Celine to UNDERCOVER.

We got to talk with Katelyn about living in LA and her inspirations. Check it out below and don’t forget to check out our previous installment with Selina Boege.

What do you love most about LA?

If New York and Orange County had a baby it would be LA. My perfect medium.

Describe your current style?

It’s a mixture of my mom’s style and streetwear/sportswear. I like to mix Chanel with Kappa.

If you weren’t doing what you are now, where would you work?

I would be a Merchandise Buyer for a huge retailer like Barney’s or Opening Ceremony. But the fashion industry is so cut throat and I don’t want to risk being broke so I am going to finish school, make millions, retire at 40, and then do fashion.

Dream collaboration?

Chanel and UNDERCOVER.

If you weren’t in your current city, where would you live?

LA is my home, I don’t think I would be able to live anywhere else.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

If you don’t like it, don’t do it – my mom.

Last lesson you learned?

Boys suck…always.

What’s your favorite place to eat in LA?

My Two Cents with my bestie Gabby Schwan.

What could you eat everyday and not get tired of it?

Cheese enchiladas.

How do you relax?

Binge watch Weeds. Nancy Botwin and Esteban Reyes…fire.

What in life are you most grateful for?

I am most grateful for my parents. My mom supported me and introduced me to fashion while my dad pushed me to get my education. Because of them I feel like I am able to maintain a good balance in my life.

What’s the greatest accomplishment of your life so far?

One of my greatest accomplishments was getting accepted into USC. I’m young, hopefully I will get to accomplish something big in fashion too.

What are you looking forward to this year?

I am looking forward to @southernshorti teaching me how to skate.
