Musician and self-proclaimed “artivist” Kehlani has just secured funding for her startup Flora, as TechCrunch reports. After the release of her debut album SweetSexySavage at the beginning of the year, the R&B singer-songwriter is focusing on her other passions – the world of tech and accessible health and wellness.

Flora is Kehlani’s latest endeavour – a health and wellness platform for young people providing information through “curated green content.” The $50,000 investment comes from Backstage Capital, a firm that focuses on supporting initiatives by people of color.

In addition to Kehlani’s new venture, she recently dropped a solo track called “Honey” and appeared in Calvin Harris’ music video for “Faking It” with Lil Yachty, which you can revisit below.

In other music news, Eminem just teased a new song called “Walk on Water” from his upcoming album ‘Revival.’ Get the full scoop right here.
