Kid Cudi continues to bolster his TV/film credentials, as the 35-year-old entertainer is now partnering with Netflix for a new animated series based around his upcoming album, Entergalactic. News of the program arrives after Cudi was recently cast to appear in Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino’s anticipated new HBO series, We Are Who We Are. He will also be featured in next year’s Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Kid Cudi is working with Kenya Barris on the new adult animated series, as Barris is executive producing the show, and Cudi writes, stars, and executive produces. The series, which will feature music from Cudder’s new album, focuses on a young man who is looking for love. Ian Edelman, who Cudi worked with on HBO’s How to Make It in America, has been tapped to write and executive produce as well.

Cudi and Barris’ animated Netflix series is expected to premiere in 2020.
