Brooklyn streetwear label and nightlife destination, Kinfolk, and English sportswear legend, Umbro have teamed up for a new collection. To celebrate 95 years of supplying the world with products, the sportswear giant offers the creative services of Kinfolk for a collection framed around classic sportswear inspired by the youth of Rio De Janeiro.

One of the key highlights from the capsule include the shorts with a “wave” print in reference to Copacabana, alongside T-shirts with the association of red, black, and white, which pays homage to the Brazilian football club, Flamengo.

The capsule leans on both the hyperlocal and Kinfolk’s long love affair with Internationalism. To further share their vision for the capsule, the collab tapped famed Brazilian photographer Ricardo Beliel, who captured Rio’s football culture in the terrace of the Maracana in the 70’s and 80’s, to shoo their lookbook.

The Kinfolk x Umbro capsule collection will be released on July 25 with a series of graphic tees, jerseys, jackets, shorts, hats, and other accessories. Take a closer look at the Ricardo Beliel-curated lookbook above.
