Founded in 1882, French sports equipment veteran Le Coq Sportif looks to its long and storied history for the made in France Arthur Ashe sneaker.

The sneaker is said to represent Le Coq Sportif's savoir-faire (which is basically French for "steeze") and has been made with premium materials including nubuck and full-grain leather. A gum sole is incorporated, along with a blue, white and red color scheme in homage to the French tricolor flag.

The Arthur Ashe is lifted from the upcoming "Origine" pack which will also feature updated versions of the Quartz and Omega silhouettes created in tandem with OG French shoemaking experts La Compagnie Vosgienne de la Chaussure, who were established in 1896. Currently, images of those pairs are yet to emerge.

You can cop the "Origine" pack at the Le Coq Sportif website as well as bricks-and-mortar locations on November 26. Premium retailers such as Hanon, Shoez Gallery and HOLYPOP will also be stocking a limited run.

In other sneaker news, NikeLab has just unveiled this menacing Air Max Plus.
