Le Coq Sportif is revitalizing one of its most iconic silhouettes for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. The Quartz and the Wendon are the sneakers in question and both were initially worn exclusively by athletes for indoor sports, but have since transitioned to street-appropriate styles thanks to the rise of the athleisure lifestyle.

The retro kicks have been updated to coincide with current trends, featuring construction from suede and leather. Arriving in classic color combinations, the '60s-specific Wendon features a slim and rounded design, as it was originally very popular with women. The Quartz, launched back in 1981, celebrates its 35th anniversary and boasts a more angular look, in turn geared towards men.

Look for the French marque to release new colorways of the Quartz and the Wendon beginning April 10 through select retailers as well as online.

Also arriving for SS16 are Le Coq Sportif's new “Made in France” sneakers.
