It isn't the first time we've seen denim-clad sneakers, but the latest official release from Le Coq Sportif HQ is probably one of the best. The French label's "Sport & Craft" pack is, as the name suggests, a lush release of well-crafted denim, suede, leather and chambray fabrics played out across their classic LCS R900, Bolivar and Dynacomf runners, as well as their men's court shoe, the Feretcraft.
The solid LCS R900 silhouette features an assured combination of dark indigo denim wash leather for the upper, contrasting with dark leather on the heel counter to the mud guard and cuts of dark suede for the eyelets. The lateral flank features the signature cock motif of the heritage French label and, in an added flourish, the three separate colors of the Tricolore are stitched on each corner of the triangle – something that features across the pack.
Meanwhile the sleeker, ultra-lightweight Dynacomf silhouette for men and women comes in an all-chambray upper either in colorways of dress blue or tiger eye, both with tan accents, while the Bolivar runner is worked in denim with a smattering of rough leather. Finally, the bestselling Feretcraft court shoe's silhouette is slightly redesigned and comes in either brown leather or 100% denim iterations.
The sneakers drop this month in sizes 5.5 to 11 (U.S.) at all Le Coq Sportif stores, online and at select outlets including Courir and les Galeries Lafayette in France; Athletes World, Italy; and 24 Kilates and El Corte Inglès in Spain.
