Ever since Leikeli47 broke out of the underground rap scene with her colorful ski masks in 2015, she’s been recognized as an artist to watch. On top of landing campaigns for household brands like Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Alexander Wang, it came as no surprise to see Issa Rae tapping her for the Insecure soundtracks as well. After having her song “Mulita” featured in an episode from the third season, Leikeli47 has dropped a music video for another single included on the show called “Girl Blunt.”

Highsnobiety has the exclusive on premiering the eye-popping video for the track which is fresh off her forthcoming album titled Acrylic. Leikeli47 broke down the song’s origins in an email to us.

“One of the guys in the studio was in the process of ‘getting his mind right’ before our session,” she said. “My constant use of the term girl blunt/boy blunt prompted another one of our conversations on the difference between the two. From there I took that narrative in the booth and just started having fun.”

The visual is bursting with Beyoncé’s energy a la “Blow”—rally your crew and hit the skate rink immediately. Watch the narrative for the flashy visual unfold below. For more Leikeli47, bump her debut album Wash & Set.
