We live in turbulent times. This year, Britain has been thrown into turmoil, as the divisive Brexit vote exposed just how fragmented and divided the country's society is. It makes sense, then, that London's designers will be channeling the mood of the day in their collections. Liam Hodges' SS17 collection plastered the phrase "I'm OK" all over his pieces, but just six months later the mood was quite the opposite. "Looking for a vacation in the decline of civilization," read the slogans on the back of Hodges' camo jackets. "Ideology is a myth" also appeared embroidered onto volt green sweats. Hodges' show conjured up a neon dystopia, with a digital camo pattern conjured up by Hodges' crew used on everything from Levi's 501s to fur-trimmed parkas.
