Pennsylvania newcomer Lil Skies is gearing up to release his upcoming mixtape Life of a Dark Rose, this week unleashing a new tune from the work. Here, we find Skies once again linking with Landon Cube on “Nowadays.”

While Cube takes care of the hook, and a second verse, Lil Skies insists throughout that he’s too cool for a girlfriend. The Cole Bennett-directed aesthetic then showcases the two artists wandering around high school, making their way from the hallway to the football field.
