On Friday afternoon, Lil Uzi Vert decided to give career advice to up-and-coming rappers on Twitter. "If y’all do sign … sign 2 a major Dont sign 2 a rapper or a Dj ……..Its Just Easier When The Time Come For That Fake Shit.” The fact of the matter is that Uzi is signed to DJ Drama and DJ Cannon’s Generation Now label in conjunction with Atlantic Records.

DJ Drama responded to his signee Uzi's tweet directly, writing “Lets state the facts and see who REALLY on some fake shit.” Lil Uzi Vert has been signed to Drama's Generation Now since 2015. However, last December the 23-year-old rapper began to publicly express his dissatisfaction with his label, once again on Twitter. “We all make mistakes 2 get better,” he tweeted. “I should have never signed but I finna turn all this shit upside down ..you know the way it suppose to be.”

Other rappers decided to jump in with their responses. Lil Durk suggested Uzi take a break from Twitter, meanwhile Rich the Kid said Lil Uzi Vert should have signed to his own Rich Forever Music.

Check out all the tweets below, and stay tuned for any developments.

In other Lil Uzi Vert news, he and NAV just dropped an animated video for "Wanted You." Watch it right here.
