If you’ve been paying any attention to Lil Uzi Vert this past year, you’ll know that his Eternal Atake album has been in the works for a while now. Just before his set wrapped up at Rolling Loud Miami this weekend, he gave the crowd an update on his new album, saying he had completed its last song. “I ain’t gonna lie, the other night, I finished the last song to the album,” Uzi said. “Ain’t that about a bitch?” Check out the clip below.
The rapper first announced Eternal Atake in July 2018, and soon after, Heaven’s Gate cult threatened to sue him for the album artwork. In December 2018, he claimed the album was finished, and then a month later, in January, he announced that he was “done with music,” but then teased an unreleased song. After some label drama, it seems he’s now working with Roc Nation. In April, Uzi dropped two new tracks titled “That’s a Rack” and “Sanguine Paradise,” revealing a music video for the former a few weeks back. There’s still no word on when his sophomore album will drop.
On this week’s episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by Iddris Sandu — architect and technology advocate who has worked with Nipsey Hussle on co-creating the late artist’s smart-retail platform and put his time in at Google at the age of 13, among other admirable accomplishments.
