Lil Yachty is starring in the lead role of MTV's upcoming How High 2 film, a sequel to 2001 cult classic How High, which starred Method Man and Redman.

Filming has already begun in Atlanta, and according to Variety, Lil Yachty portrays Roger, an entrepreneur and younger brother of one of the protagonists from the original film. According to the official description by MTV, Roger and his friend go "on a magical hash-fueled journey to fund their on-demand munchies delivery start-up."

It's also worth noting that this will not be Lil Yachty's first acting role, as the rapper appeared in an episode of George Lopez’s TV Land series Lopez, did a voiceover for Green Lantern in the animated film, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, and also performed a duet with Donny Osmond for Chef Boyardee.

How High 2 is expected to premiere on MTV in 2019.

In related news, Lil Yachty’s new album ‘Nuthin 2 Prove’ arrives this October, and the rapper will set sail with Bhad Bhabie on "The Disrespect Tour" next month.
