Swedish electronic outfit Little Dragon just released “Sweet,” a fresh new track from their forthcoming album. Frontwoman Yukimi Nagano dropped by BBC Radio 1 yesterday to discuss the group’s latest single from their upcoming LP Season High. Listen to the new track and Yukimi’s explanation of its meaning - “being addicted to a certain feeling or high, not necessarily drug-related, but anything that makes you high!” - below at the 0:36 mark:
The upbeat new track features Yukimi’s signature vocals, bloops of sounds that make you feel like you’re in Super Mario circa 1998 and a rather filthy bass line. Like Yukimi sings, we also “can’t get enough,” and are extremely stoked for more new Little Dragon tunes. No word yet on when the band’s follow up album to 2014’s Nabuma Rubberband will drop, but stay tuned.
In the meantime, check out the video for their new album’s lead single “High” below.
