London-based photographer Lola Paprocka is gearing up to release her new photographic book, Blokovi. The project finds Paprocka exploring the New Belgrade apartment blocks and their residents, of which she is quite familiar with, having grown up in East Poland.

Inspired by her interest and admiration of architecture and portraiture, the images from the series were captured in medium format during August of 2015. She in turn focused on interactions with strangers in everyday situations within Belgrade’s brutalist architecture, as opposed to any particular group of people or subjects.

In celebration of the book, Lola will also be holding a special exhibition to further showcase her photographs on May 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. in London.

You can then pre-order a copy of Blokovi here.
