Last night Lorde kicked off her North American tour in support of 2017’s Melodrama. While in Milwaukee, the standout moment came when the New Zealand singer-songwriter unleashed a cover of Frank Ocean‘s Blonde standout, “Solo.”

Previously, Lorde had mentioned that her Melodrama album was influenced by Frank’s Blonde.

“In this sort of post-Blonde landscape, we can all sort of do whatever we want in terms of instrumentation,” she noted when speaking with The Spinoff. “It’s exciting. I can use guitars and I can get a big gnarly Flume beat and throw it under water.”

In addition to the cover, the 21-year-old musician also shared a previously unreleased track that she penned during the writing period for Melodrama. You can check it out underneath.

Lorde is currently on tour with Run the Jewels and Tove Styrke.

Just last month Frank Ocean dropped a gorgeous cover of “Moon River.”
