Lorde released a whopping six music videos on Wednesday featuring songs from her latest album Melodrama. The New Zealand singer returned to the legendary Electric Lady Studios where the full-length was recorded to film six stripped-back visual accompaniments to the songs.
Lorde recorded acoustic versions of Melodrama tracks "Homemade Dynamite," "Hard Feelings/Loveless," "Supercut," "Sober," "The Louvre," and "Writer in the Dark."
She also shared an introductory video, which you can watch above, explaining why it was important for her to return to the same historic studio where she originally recorded her sophomore album. "I don't really do acoustic sessions or anything, but with this record, it had roots in acoustic instruments, in live musicianship," she said. "I felt like the songs deserved to be pulled apart in certain ways."
