Founding member of electro-classical outfit Clean Bandit, Love Ssega, takes his penchant for experimentation in a new direction with the visuals for "Hot Electrolytes." Inspired by the passion and energy of youth, and the art of South London, the video serves as a color-drenched call to live with vibrancy and purpose, a theme that exists throughout Ssega's forthcoming EP.

"The whole EP is about reclaiming the narrative and showing yes we know what’s going on, can see what’s going on, but that doesn’t mean we’ve given up and have no energy or passion left. Yes it’s gray and we have concrete council blocks, but we also have record numbers of people seeing the works of David Hockney at the Tate, and Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty at the V&A," explains Ssega.

"In terms of the video itself, it really stemmed from the artwork designed by my Art Director, Kat Hassan," he continues. She helped me co-direct the video, which has influences from the Eduardo Paolozzi exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery. I’m just having a lot of fun and I’m really trying to take influences from British art, fashion and design, and then do it in my own way. Working with a young upcoming British designer like Kat is great because she knows where I’m coming from and it helps for people to see that something is coming a real place. Of course, if we had that seven-figure label money we’d probably make a version of Busta Rhyme’s 'Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See' with Hype Williams.”
