After sharing the official SS19 lookbook, maharishi returns to debut its exclusive Shattered MILTYPE pieces. maharishi uses the term “MILTYPE” to describe its interpretation of the graphic language and typography commonly used by the military to assign codes and specifications to articles of clothing and equipment.
Furthermore, maharishi looks to the works of Picasso, Bauhaus and Mondrian, pulling inspiration from cubism, a pivotal art movement surrounding the development of military camouflage. Here, we see maharishi’s camouflage deconstructed, partially abstracted and “shattered.”
maharishi’s SS19 Shattered MILTYPE is featured on a Flight Nylon Utility Vest and numerous organic cotton styles including a lightweight Shooter Shirt, Waffle Knit Crew Sweat, and 5 panel and 6 panel caps.
You can look forward to the Shattered MILTYPE capsule releasing in-store at maharishi New York and London, as well as online, March 1.
