When celebrities get engaged there’s an expectation that they’ll go all out. Maybe turn their Instagram account into a documentation of iconic couples (including their own), buy an entire island, or even fill the house with flowers.
But when Marc Jacobs asked his longtime boyfriend Charly DeFrancesco to marry him, the designer kept things relatively lowkey. While the couple dined at Chipotle (celebrities, they’re just like us), Jacobs arranged a flash mob to dance to Prince’s “Kiss” in the middle of the fast-food chain.
When the performance finished, Jacobs got on one knee and asked the shocked DeFrancesco to marry him — and he said yes. Jacobs then shared a documentation of the whole thing on Instagram, captioning it: “To my ride or die fiancé @chardefrancesco I LOVE YOU.”
