thedrop@barneys brought in all walks of streetwear life. From casual shoppers, to fans trying to cop exclusive drops, to many designers, were all in attendance creating a social hub that blurred the lines of streetwear culture and the high-end retail marketplace into one. We partnered up with Barneys for the two-day shopping event that saw the release of 30 exclusive capsule collections from labels like OFF-WHITE, 424, Fear of God, and more.

Marcelo Burlon is a man of many talents. The Argentinean DJs, designs, and pulls the strings behind the scenes with a few other big fashion names, and his own label, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan. Within the past year, his label teamed up with Reebok and Kappa, dropped the luxury Zuku runner, and is now living in Barneys New York flagship store.

At thedrop@barneys, Marcelo created an exclusive capsule collection including the eagle-flag logo tees and eagle-logo terry hoodies. Highsnobiety’s Jeff Carvalho and Barneys’ Jackie Kim also spoke with Burlon about his journey through the club scene to being in Barneys, the future of fashion, and breaking fashion rules in a video interview.
