Poland-born, Germany-raised, London-based designer Marta Jakubowski took to the British capital's fashion week to show her SS17 collection. With a set once again designed by Gary Card (who designed LN-CC's mind-boggling interior), Jakubowski went in heavy on the eveningwear, but dissected it with uneven, flesh-exposing panels.
Much like the designer's FW16 collection, those asymmetrical, seemingly random cutaways were the foundation of Jakubowski's topsy-turvy vision. Silk, jersey and velvet were her weapons of choice, and a striking palette would no doubt ensure that the collection's pieces stuck in the minds of many a buyer and editor. It's refined, avant-garde clothing for refined, avant-garde power dressers. A name to watch for sure.
