While we were busy brainstorming how a female Black Panther would make sense, Marvel has uploaded their 2011 six-episode animated Black Panther series to YouTube so you can stream the entire thing for free.

The 120-minute series sees Djimon Hounsou (Karoth in Guardians of the Galaxy) as the voice of T’Challa, and also features voice acting by Kerry Washington and Alfre Woodard – even Stan Lee makes an appearance as General Wallace.

In the series, upon becoming the new Black Panther after the assassination of his father T’Chaka, T’Challa deals with jealousy in the Wakandan royal court while hunting down the man who killed his father. Unbeknownst to Black Panther, Klaw (the man who assassinated his father) has assembled a group of villains to help him take over Wakanda.

You can watch the first episode above and we’ve embedded the remaining episodes below. Let us know in the comments how you like the animated series compared to the movie!
