Maserati announced that it would be releasing its first electric car by 2020 last year, and with the New York International Auto Show occurring this Friday, April 14, the Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer will unveil a new special Ghibli model -- “Nerissimo” black edition.
With 450 only produced and strictly for the United States and Canada, the model essentially maintains its recognizable profile, while the vehicle is simply rendered in deep black. In case you were wondering, the name "Nerissimo" derives from the Italian expression for “extremely black.”
Offered in Ghibli, Ghibli S and Ghilbi SQ4 variations, the car's blacked-out aesthetic is further detailed with glossy black finish 20-inch Urano wheels, black door handles, trim and grille features, while other options include Sport Package and Premium Package elements with an extended leather interior featuring red stitching and gear-shift paddles, red brake calipers, dark mirror interior trim, sport seats and a sport steering wheel. Additionally, the Ghibli S and SQ4 models will be equipped with a more premium Harman Kardon stereo system.
Furthermore, each "Nerissimo" vehicle incorporates a unique plaque recognizing the build-number of the unit, with a badge located on the center console highlighting the number out of 450 total produced.
Pricing for the Maserati Ghibli "Nerissimo" starts at $77,250 USD -- while the Ghibli S and Ghibli SQ4 go for $84,000 and $86,500, respectively.
View this black beauty exclusively at the New York Auto Show located in the Jacob Javits Center starting Friday, April 14.
