If you think paying to watch Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor's "fight of the century" on TV is costly, actually attending the event is something else entirely. Prices have been revealed for the bout, with the cheapest seats coming in at $500.
The promotors behind the fight have joined forces with Tickemaster Verified Fan in a bid to combat the bots and resellers. After receiving a unique code and link to purchase, tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, with each person limited to a maximum of two. Those looking to flex ringside will need to pay $10,000, while seats in other pricing tiers come in at $1,500, $2,500, $3,500, $5,000 and $7,500.
It's extortionate, sure, but still cheaper than Mayweather's last "super fight" with Manny Pacquaio. Tickets on that night ranged from $5,000 to $30,000.
