It appears that the longtime feud between Drake and Meek Mill might finally be over. The Philly rapper teased a snippet of an unreleased remix of The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 hit “What’s Beef” in a new video and there’s a line that fans are reading as a sign that a collaboration between him and the 6 God could be in the works: “Is we beefin’ or rappin’? I might just pop up with Drizzy.”

During a recent interview on Hot 97, Meek Mill expressed his appreciation for Drake’s support of the Free Meek Mill campaign during his period of incarceration. Meek further elaborated on his experience in prison and shared his opinions on the criminal justice system in an interview with The Breakfast Club.

Last year, Drake briefly touched on the burden of the beef in a Beats 1 interview. “It’s not something that I’m proud of because it took just as much of an emotional toll on me,” he said.

Given that the intent behind Biggie’s song was a call-to-action against diss tracks, it’s refreshing to see that this three-year-old beef has sizzled out for the foreseeable future. Here’s to hoping that fans will be exposed to even more of this comradery on Drake’s forthcoming album Scorpion.

In other related news, Meek Mill is in the process of developing his own criminal justice series with Amazon.
