Unveiled in 2012 at the Monaco Yacht Show as nothing more than a concept, Mercedes-Benz's Style division recently invited a handful of journalists from around the world to the South of France to check out the completed model firsthand.

Done in collaboration with yacht manufacturer Silver Arrows Marine, the resulting yacht, officially titled the Mercedes-Benz Arrow460-Granturismo, is truly one of a kind and features all the hallmarks of a Mercedes project. Only 10 units are set to be produced, limited to just one boat per country.

Measuring in at 14 meters (45.9 feet) long, the Granturismo is powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines, which feature 480 horsepower each, bringing the cruising speed up to 30 knots and the top speed to 40+ knots with a light load. The interior, while not completed at the time of the yacht's premiere, translates Mercedes's design language to the open sea, making extensive use of nubuck leather and eucalyptus wood paneling. Furthermore, the designers at Mercedes made it clear to us that each yacht would be unique to its owner, allowing for endless modification as long as it adheres to the design principles of both brands.

The boat is designed to accommodate up to 10 people at a time. The large side windows are retractable and the windscreen can be raised, which means that passengers can sit comfortably in the interior while enjoying an all-round view and the feeling of sitting in the open. Tables and beds are extendable, and therefore available as and when required. Further amenities of the final model include a luxurious bathroom unit, separate dressing room, air conditioning system, high-quality audio system, a "wine-cellar," and an ice-making machine.

No word yet on pricing but early reports suggest a base level price of $1.7 million. In any case, you'll have to get in touch to order one as they're about as limited as they come and made to order.
