From the ground up

Being a brand-endorsed athletes certainly comes with perks. Being Michael Jordan at the height of his career – leading the 1988-1989 season in scoring – is another level altogether.

Recently, a 1988 clip of Michael Jordan surfaced on the web, showing His Airness picking out some kicks with some Chicago Bulls teammates during a visit to Nike’s Beaverton headquarters.

The #TBT-appropriate clip is taken from a rare documentary titled Michael Jordan & Co, and shows Jordan accompanied by teammates Charles Oakley and Sam Vincent as they browse through what seems to be a Nike warehouse. As Jordan examines a white and blue pair of the Nike Air Ace 3/4, a Nike employee can be heard explaining “These are the ones you were asking about.”
