Editor’s Notes: mita sneakers and New Balance are continuing their long-time partnership with yet another collaborative sneaker. This time, the duo team up on the NB 990v4, giving it a green makeover.

The inspiration for this project is the frog, an important symbol in Japanese culture, which is often linked with people, or things, returning home or to their owner. The collaborative sneaker has been aptly named the “Bouncing Frog.”

mita sneakers branding is present on the Made in The USA kicks’ insoles, alongside chain-link fence and frog graphics.

Whether you believe in the powers of the frog or not, mita sneakers’ makeover of New Balance’s most popular lifestyle sneaker is a classy effort that we can easily see sliding into many sneakerheads’ rotations this fall.

The “Bouncing Frog” 990v4 lands at mita sneakers and other retailers starting August 25.
