Japanese artist Mr. has unveiled his latest exhibition at Perrotin Paris, “Mr’s Melancholy Walk Around Town.”
The lighthearted exhibition focuses on the kawaii (cute) side of Mr.’s otaku-inspired artwork and features illustrations of colorful pre-teen anime characters.
At the exhibition’s opening, Mr. launched a collaboration with the fashion designer Mira Mikati which consisted of brightly colored tees, hoodies, and knitwear, all bearing the artist’s signature characters. Highsnobiety was there to speak to Mr. and Mira Mikati to get an insight into the show and their artistic collaboration. Watch below.
“Mr’s Melancholy Walk Around Town” is on now and runs until March 9. Head to Perrotin for more information.
