There’s something magical about French-Canadian artists that we still can’t seem to pinpoint, but the music scene has become a force to be reckoned with across all genres. MUNYA a.k.a. Josie Boivin is a prime example of this new wave of talent that has been flooding our speakers. The Montreal-based producer and singer is classically trained pianist, opera singer, and jazz student. A few months ago, she caught our attention with “Hotel Delmano,” the lead single off her recently released Delmano EP. Today, we’re premiering the accompanying visual for the charming track which takes its name from a Williamsburg bar in Brooklyn, New York.

“The song ‘Hotel Delmano’ came to me in a dream,” she told us in an email. ‘So when it was time to make the video, I wanted it to have the same feeling—an ambiguous collection of images, whose meaning is derived by the connection of the time and place. We shot this in my hometown, visiting the most ‘trivial’ and ‘unremarkable’ places that I’ve known my whole life but now feel like a dream.”

Dive into MUNYA’s dreamy world through the video below.
