To say that the debut from producer MXXWLL has been highly-anticipated would be severe understatement. The Sydney-native has built a name for himself with astonishing speed, winning praise from the likes of Snoop Dogg and Jazzy Jeff. And a killer remix of Snakehips and ZAYN’s “Cruel” certainly didn’t hurt either.

But now, the wait is over. MXXWLL’s Beats Vol. 1 is officially dropping tomorrow, but the tape is making its premiere right here on Highsnobiety Music. It is a seamless blend of influences, from old school G-funk to sly nods to J Dilla, yet its held together with MXXWLL’s ever-playful ear and ever-wandering synthesizer.
